High Touch, Inc. completes downtown move, anticipates lighting of 10th story signage

April 28, 2008

More than 100 employees of High Touch, Inc., a Wichita-based provider of technology solutions, completed the move last week to their new downtown offices at 110 S. Main, says Wayne Chambers, High Touch CEO/president. High Touch’s lease includes four floors of the 10-story building, designating them as the building anchor and giving them naming rights. The company’s logo and name will be displayed on the building’s 10th floor in a 2-color, illuminated signage.

“Downtown skylines make a statement about the city, and our building is visible to the Kellogg interchange,” says Chambers. “We had a choice to do something nondescript and invisible, or to make a statement for downtown. We chose the latter.” The High Touch logotype and mark were scaled up to contribute a point of interest to Wichita’s downtown skyline. TriMark Signs produced the sign, which will be installed along the 10th floor of the building’s south face. Once installed, the sign’s image area is approximately 8 feet tall by 64 feet long.

The sign will be lit for the first time at approximately 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.  Renovations began in December for floors six through nine, a total space of 35,000 square feet. Hutton Construction was the renovation contractor and Dave White of Howard & Helmer is the architect. High Touch employees are enjoying their new downtown address, says Kevin Colborn, director of corporate technology and facilities. “People are having fun exploring new places for lunch, and we have a front row seat for downtown events. Everyone’s looking forward to the River Festival because the Food Court will be right across the street,” says Colborn.

High Touch also moved into a new 27,000 sq. ft. Distribution Center in December at 818 E. Orme.
