OUR CHALLENGE
Network security is essential in a banking environment. So when Garden City State Bank had a technology audit that showed room for improvement, the Bank immediately started searching for a Managed Services network security partner. They found High Touch.
THE HIGH TOUCH SOLUTION
The network security professionals at High Touch worked with Garden City State Bank to find a security package that had everything the Bank needed including:
• Comprehensive reporting for bank executives and FDIC auditors
• Off-site backup of firewall settings
• Easy-to-use security applications
Within 48 hours, High Touch had delivered the SonicWALL firewall system and trained on-site personnel on set-up and functionality. The SonicWALL instantly started shielding the Bank from outside viruses and spyware. In addition, a filtering system was established internally to block access to compromising web sites and content and provide monitoring reports.
With guidance from High Touch, Garden City State Bank customized their reporting function to delivery daily reports on all traffic entering or exiting the firewall. If the server goes down or security breaches are detected, bank executives receive immediate alerts any time day or night. The High Touch support engineers continue to work closely with the Bank, monitoring and reviewing reports, and making adjustments when necessary to ensure their settings and technology meet security objectives. Automatic updates to the firewall protect the Bank’s network from the latest, most sophisticated breach attempts.
PROVEN RESULTS
Since employing the High Touch Managed Services team, Garden City State Bank has been virus-free. They have successfully passed three FDIC security audits using the daily activity reports. Bank employees’ time spent preparing for the audits was significantly decreased and the auditors have appreciated the depth of information available in the reports provided to them.
