DID YOU KNOW?
The name ‘High Touch’ came from the #1 New York Times Bestseller “Megatrends” written by John Naisbitt. “Megatrends” was written based on predictions for tomorrow based on a dynamic analysis of what America is today; and proved to be true in anticipating major shifts for the world.

David Oles

David OlesDavid Oles
Director of Rent-A-Center Technology
  • 25 years’ experience in IT systems support and management
  • Engaged to lead the expansion of the High Touch distribution center
  • Named a Premier 100 IT leader (Computerworld Magazine, 2006)

In an industry fraught with change, David Oles’ dogged pursuit of structure provides a welcome predictability for High Touch clients. David’s disciplined and systematic nature lends order in a constantly evolving trade.

David’s background in project management and process development coupled with his expertise in technology made him a natural fit for heading the expansion of the High Touch distribution center. Much of his day is spent tightening processes to ensure that every hardware order sent to the distribution center is procured, staged and distributed properly in an expeditious manner to ensure the client’s downtime is minimized.

David was recognized by Computerworld Magazine as one of the business world’s Premier 100 IT Leaders. Among those honorees, he was selected as one of the top 12 Best in Class for his ability to foster creativity and challenging work environments, envision fresh approaches to business challenges and effectively manage IT investments.

A Missouri State University graduate in computer information systems, David started his career as a programmer in the rent-to-own industry. He has spent 25 years in various technology roles, gaining vast understanding of how to move a business forward with respect to the possibilities and limitations of technology.

Master of organization that he is, David maintains convention in some processes. When it comes to his own schedule, he is never far from his trusty Franklin Planner, a small act of rebellion uncommon in the cyber world and one that keeps him connected with the human side of High Touch. This human element remains at the center of his management style, where the work environment is designed to develop team members and solidify client relationships.
