DID YOU KNOW?
The name ‘High Touch’ came from the #1 New York Times Bestseller “Megatrends” written by John Naisbitt. “Megatrends” was written based on predictions for tomorrow based on a dynamic analysis of what America is today; and proved to be true in anticipating major shifts for the world.

Director of Rent-A-Center Development
  • 30 years in the technology industry
  • Tapped to lead speed-to-market and excellence initiatives
  • Experienced in healthcare, manufacturing, aviation and retail
Eight years in development for a 3,500-unit national client have given Wayne Huxman front-line experience in High Touch customer support. As director of development for Rent-A-Center (RAC), he is focused on the RTO leader’s ongoing business and technology needs. After nearly 30 years in the technology field, he is uniquely qualified to handle the complex needs of the rent-to-own leader.

With roles spanning IT management, programming and software development, Wayne has worked under the tutelage of co-founder Dave Glover and as a result, developed an owner’s mentality. Currently he’s working on a speed-to-market service initiative and a framework for excellence to ensure high quality solutions in the shortest time possible.

The first to admit he doesn’t have all the answers, Wayne is likely to tackle a problem with a white board, market and group of co-workers around a table. His collaborative and consensus-building style made Wayne the ideal choice to lead RAC development efforts.

A student at Wichita State University in the late 1970s, Wayne began his college studies as a computer science major and eventually migrated to business administration where he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. His technology skills were applied in the healthcare, manufacturing and the aviation industries before joining High Touch in 2000.

Wayne’s contributions to High Touch extend to the softer side of corporate life. Shortly after joining the company, he volunteered for High Touch’s Stress Management team and helped elevate the group’s role in rewarding hard work. Evidence of his efforts was a laser-tag outing given as a reward to employees who worked six months on a large-scale national laser printer installation. This is one of many ways that High Touch has created an environment of recognition, something Wayne is proud to be a part of.

“Our success has been the result of assembling the right mix of people, service and creativity to satisfy businesses’ technology needs; the same key components will drive our future success.”
