It would be an understatement to say that Uzma Powell embraces change. Leaving her native Pakistan on her own at age 17 for New York City may have seemed reckless to her parents, but to Uzma, it was her first passage in the never-ending adventure that is her life. It is Uzma’s passion for challenge that gives her a talent for leading teams and finding out-of-the-box solutions. After taking a bite from The Big Apple, Uzma eventually landed in Wichita where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wichita State University, in visual communications/graphic design and communication, respectively. She spent ten years honing her graphic design skills before deciding to reinvent herself as an integrated marketer, expanding into research, conceptual development, audience segmentation and messaging methodologies. It was after becoming a marketing acquisition specialist for a leading national telecommunications service provider that Uzma evolved from an art director to a strategic communicator.

Uzma’s diverse background provides a wide range of tools to communicate with High Touch clients and prospects. Her experience at managing multi-tactical marketing programs is ideal for supporting internal staff and relating with software, hardware, web site development and network security customers. Whether on the front lines or in support of High Touch managers, her daily mantra is to keep the customer happy and the bottom line will take care of itself.

The consummate communicator, Uzma’s insistence on honesty transcends corporate politics and facilitates sweeping change while her eye for detail serves as the branding advocate for High Touch. In addition to directing the firm’s corporate stewardship efforts and presence throughout the industries served, Uzma also represents High Touch through social networking and community involvements, including the Global Learning Center where she serves on the board of directors.

A resource of big ideas and a masterful trend spotter, Uzma tackles branding, marketing and communicating with a futuristic vision; elements integral to High Touch’s industry support and development.
